Cynthia Taylor

Cynthia Taylor is a clean energy and infrastructure finance professional whose career has been defined by a singular mission: deploying capital into the investments that will shape the future of energy. With expertise spanning credit underwriting, loan structuring, impact investing, and fund management, she has spent over a decade building the financial frameworks that move transformative energy technologies from ambition to reality.
Currently serving as Director of Finance at TAE Technologies, Cynthia is at the forefront of one of the most audacious clean energy goals of our time — the commercialization of fusion energy. Drawing on her extensive background in energy finance, she brings the same discipline and strategic rigor to fusion that she honed during her years structuring landmark deals in carbon management and industrial decarbonization.
Before joining TAE Technologies, Cynthia served as Senior Investment Officer at the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office — one of the most powerful clean energy lending institutions in the world. As a member of the Carbon Management team, she played a central role in structuring and advancing investments in carbon capture and storage, biofuels, and industrial decarbonization, helping channel federal capital toward technologies critical to the nation's energy transition.
